The Jury Process

After having been a member of CKAG  for six months, members may elect to be juried for the purpose of hanging in our Business Exhibits. Becoming a juried member is strictly optional. All members, including non-juried, are encouraged to enter the annual All Member Show.

To be juried the member should select three painting that he/she thinks are representative of his best work. Be sure  the artwork meets the Guild’s framing requirements. Bring these to 790 North Dixie Ave Ste 800, Elizabethtown before the date that the committee meets along with a Jury Critique Form.

The committee of three looks for originality, creativity, good painting techniques, use of color and value. They make notes of encouragement and suggestions on the form. The form is then given to the artist when paintings are picked up. The committee would have ideas for how the artist might improve. If the artist is not accepted as a juried member, he/she can re-apply.
