Central Kentucky Art Guild sponsors Regional Fine Art Exhibit

Saturday, September 4th, the CKAG held a reception to open the Regional Fine Art Exhibit.  The paintings are being shown at Woodland Gallery and Framing in the Pavilion Shopping Center on Ring Road in Elizabethtown until September 29th.

Winning works were announced at the reception. Wes Kendall, 1st place “Ava Lynn”; Helen Merrick, 2nd place with “Blue Hand”;  Phyllis Blakeman, 3rd place with “Playing Around”.  Merit awards were presented to Jo Friel and Carl McKinley.  The judge, Tom Poole, was very impressed with the caliber of the entries and chose nine for Honorable Mention.  They are: Neal Cardin, Anthony Ciliberto, Mary Lou Hall, Shirley Knoop, Elizabeth Kulp, Sharon Milliner, Carol Reesor, Theresa Shelton, and Judy Stice.  The exhibit will be open to the public during business hours at Woodland Gallery and Framing, 2410 Ring Road, Suite 300.
The next meeting of the CKAG will be September 20th at 6:30 pm at Nolin RECC, 411 Ring Road.  Visitors are always welcome.
